Cross-browser testing so Safari-only bugs never reach customers
Every critical journey runs across Chromium, Firefox and WebKit at desktop, tablet and phone sizes, on every change. Find the browser-specific bug before your customers do.
Most teams develop in Chrome. Many of their customers use Safari on iPhone. Date pickers, flexbox gaps, autofill, payment sheets and third-party scripts all behave differently across engines, and those differences are where browser-specific bugs hide.
QAShift runs the same journeys in every engine you support, so a fix that works in Chrome but breaks on Safari is caught in the pull request.
What our cross-browser testing covers
Engine coverage
Chromium, Firefox and WebKit, which powers Safari on Mac and every browser on iOS.
Responsive breakpoints
Desktop, tablet and phone widths for each journey.
Input differences
Date pickers, autofill, file uploads and keyboard behaviour per browser.
Payment and auth sheets
Browser-specific payment and sign-in flows behave correctly.
Visual parity
Screenshots per engine catch layout differences.
Device grids when needed
Tests are standard Playwright, so they can also run on any device cloud you already use.
What it catches before your customers do
- The date picker does nothing on Safari
- A flexbox layout collapses on Firefox
- Autofill breaks validation on iOS
- A third-party script blocks checkout in one browser only
Two ways to get it done
Run it yourself
Verity runs your generated tests across browser engines in CI with no extra configuration.
We run it for you
Your engineer agrees the browser and device matrix with you based on real traffic and keeps it current.
What you get
- Multi-engine runs in CI
- Per-browser failure evidence
- Breakpoint coverage
- A matrix based on your analytics on managed plans
Frequently asked questions
Do you test on real Safari?
Tests run on WebKit, the engine behind Safari, which catches the vast majority of Safari issues. Real-device runs are available on managed plans and through any device cloud you use.
Do I need BrowserStack or Sauce Labs?
Not to start. Multi-engine runs work in your CI. If you need a large real-device grid, QAShift tests run there unchanged.
Which browsers should we support?
On managed plans your engineer recommends a matrix from your analytics, so effort goes where your users are.
Does cross-browser testing cost extra?
No. Browser coverage is part of every plan.
